Columbus Regional Air Cargo Association
"Fifth Year"

The goal of the association is to bring educational, networking, and growth opportunities to our industry. Since its inception in 2004, the organization has made solid progress in membership growth and bringing educational opportunities to the community. We all appreciate the enthusiastic participation and look forward to a very active and productive association throughout 2009 and the years to come.

The theme of 2009 is "OUTREACH" areas in focus for 2009 are:
1. Education
2. Logistics Infrastructure
3. Associations - Interaction between CRACA and other regional or national associations such as OTA and CRLC to bring educational opportunities to the members.
4. Membership growth

Going into 2009, there have been some changes made to the CRACA board. We would like to welcome our 2 newest board members Megan Novak and Chris Bobbitt (please see their bios on "Meet the Board").

Nadine LaFond and Jeff Pilof have shared as Co-Presidents for the past 2 years. These 2 individuals will be stepping back from their position to allow "new" and "fresh" ideas to be brought to the organization. Both individuals are very thankful for the opportunity and will remain as board members. Mike Brady (Columbus Regional Airports) will serve as ad-interim until a replacement has been named.

Current board members are:

  > Nadine LaFond

  > Gary Paine
  > Justin Reynolds
  > Michael Brady
  > David Whitaker
  > Chris Bobbitt

> Megan Novak

Other changes in 2009....

* The calendar has been changed from "Fall to Spring" to "January to December"

* No "Winter Reception" will occur this year. We are considering a replacement event for late spring (possibly a baseball game at the new park).

* We are reviewing the meeting schedules for the upcoming year. Until decisions are made the old schedule will remain as bi-monthly at the Madison Township Community Center.

What is not changing is our very successful "Summer Golf Outing" where all members are able to get away from the day to day business grind and relax with their peers.
